Wave Hunter: The Book of Water
Tegen tries once more to get to Mona, the sacred Isle of the Druids in the land of the Cymry. (We call it Anglesey in North Wales these days).
On the way, she is given a prophecy that she must find the Wave that will heal the Land… But when she reaches the shore, there are so many waves, how can she find the One? What does it mean?
So much seems to be against her: her old enemy the demon, storms at sea, a Roman massacre, and above all, the powerful mirror magic of the queen of Eireann! (Ireland)
After danger, joy, and ghastly rituals, Tegen finds what she has been hunting for – but it breaks her heart!
The photos on this page are some of the wonderful sites I researched in Wales, Ireland and Alderly Edge in Chesire.

The entry to the fairy hill - you have to imagine the entrance with a stone rather than an iron gate.

This mound and ditch is where I imagined Etain's royal house to have once stood.

The red and golden sandstone at the top of Alderly Edge where Tegen and Tonn ate the ritual bread that decided Tonn's fate.

Tall y Llyn, imagine trying to walk around it when it's frozen!

Inside the fairy hill at Tara, if you look carefully, you can just see the rock carvings on the left that gave Tegen her dream.

Looking through the may trees at Tara. People still hang rags on the trees hoping the spirits will answer prayers!
